Is there any kink in Sweden?

G'day All,

I've been lucky enough to score a work trip to Sweden at the end of August and was wondering if any of the Euro' folk knew of anything in, or near, Stockholm that I should look out for?

I'll either be spending a week or so in Stockholm or a few days in Stockholm and a few in Gothenburg.

This being my first trip to Europe (been most places South of Bahrain, but never made it too Europe), any advice on shops to take a look at, venues to visit or parties that might be on would be greatly appreciated.

nice to hear you find the way to Europe! For myself I don't know too much about some nice places in Sweden but I'm sure there are some!
3xL wrote 2002 about some parties there. He found also a Yahoo Group of the local scene! Maybe if you contact him he could also help you a little bit more.

Hm... Australia? I meet just some weeks before (at the German Fetish Ball) a very interesting guy from Australia. He told about a very familiar scene there - no parties, shoots or something equivalent like here - but they meet (like a big family of more about 50 people) in ones house and make their personal party... imagine that sounds also very interesting and funny for me... something like make dinner with your friends at home :D

We have something similar. We have a group of around 30 people belonging to a Yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/perthrubberists). Of that 30+ maybe a dozen or so acively participate and come along to cofee meets and parties at people's places. Had one at my home not too long ago where everyone got rubbery, then we had dinner with everyone in their latex all shined up, then tried out one of the members vacbeds and took some pics. One of the guys in the group lives by himself and has a large and private back yard with a pool. We had a rubbery BBQ and pool party at his place last summer.

There's not much of a fetish/latex scene in Western Australia at all, so it's mostly just private parties for us, that's why I'm keen to try to get to something when visiting Sweden and whereever else I can get too.

Who knows, I might even make it down to Germany for a party or event. I've had thoughts about hiring a car and driving down to do a lap of the Nurburgring!

Yes I heard about these differences to Europe. However meeting in at a private place with pool sound very nice - you should motivate him to celebrate more often! :)

... and you really want to come to the Nurburgring? That sound very funny!!! For ourself we never tried but a very good friend has with his motorcycle. If you are looking for high speed this is for sure your place!

The closest thing I have to a religion is motorbikes and motor racing. If I made it to the Nurburgring I'd leave with a smile that you'd never be able to wipe from my face!

I'd even settle for hiring a BMW and going for a blast on an Autobahn, the highest speed limit here in Western Australia is 110 km/p/hr (though I do get to go faster when racing at the track or the drag strip).

I left a post on the rubberpal site and 3XL responded so I've got a lead for a few places in Copenhagen if I make it across to that side of Sweden and can skip over to Denmark.

Just found out I've got 3 days in Stockholm and 1 day in Linkoping at company expense so really looking forward to the trip now. With a few extra days of my own leave I'll be spending around a week in Sweden and wherever else I can get too.


The private parties are really cool and relaxed which is great, but would love to get to something like Torture Garden or a Skin Two ball one of these days. Just a chance to see and maybe meet some of the folk we only get to see and hear about on the 'net would be awesome as we hardly ever get anyone venturing down our way.

From the looks of the site you've been working hard. I reckon Yourself and Norman need a holiday, can I recommend the West Coast of Australia! I can swing a pool party and BBQ to welcome you both

if you plan to visit the Nürburgring, please consider that most rental cars are NOT ALLOWED to be driven there! The rental companies even pay some photographers there to report rental cars and take evidence fotos of them. Then they check the car and can blame you for virtually anything that is wrong with it at your cost

You can rent a racecar at the Nürburgring itself. The company is called "Ring racing" and has some rental racecars --> They are a good choice to do a few laps.

And remember to drive safe, the course is REALLY hard!

As I mentioned before, the Nurburgring is an idea I just can't shake from my head, so much so that I've already hunted down a few leads on hire cars, costs ...etc!

http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ the hire car section has a list of companies that hire track cars specifically for lapping the ring!

I think I watch too much Top Gear and am addicted to speed and racing, Germany and the ring is caling and calling loudly! The fact that there is also so much in the way of latex in Germany compared to Australia, if I could manage a party, fetish event or something else Euro-latex related then I don't hink I'd have a choice, I'd be going for sure!

With 2 young kids at home it'll be a long time before I can get the $$ together for both myself and my wife to escape to Europe, so this company paid trip coming up is practically a once in a life time thing and I'm really looking forward to it and hoping to make the most of it

Well everything is sorted and it looks like I'll even get to meet up with 3XL for a coffee or a beer (thanks for that suggestion Sway).

Ended up with 2 nights Stockholm, 1 night Linkoping, another night in Stockholm then across to Malmo for 3 nights and visiting Copenhagen during one or two of the days I'm there. Then it's back to Stockholm on the 5th to fly home, and as 3XL informed me I'll get home just as the biggest fetish event in Scandanavia starts on the 8th :(

Oh well, guess I'll save on luggage space not needing to pack an outfit/suit for the event.

Just that little bit of Europe was so cool, gotta go back and see more!

Caught up with 3xL and his partner, very nice people indeed.

Now to arrange another trip and be in Europe when a major party is on at the same time.

That's really great to hear you enjoyed your trip! I can imagine 3xL showed you the nicest places of Copenhagen... I feel me bad to live much closer than you but was never there - so far!
However, maybe you will be next time here to the German Fetish Ball (beginning of May)... for sure this the trip would be worth for you! :)

I was out in Stockholm in Oct '04 and believe there is qiute a big scene there. Although, it is mostly private parties in select spots. A lot change in 6 years so I'm not going to bother making any recommendation. But an online research would def yield heaps of stuff.
